The governing body of the HBTA is the Policy Council, which is comprised of seven participating representatives. As the largest participating employer, Alberta Health Services appoints 5 members to Policy Council while the other 2 representatives are elected by the other participating employers.

The HBTA Policy Council meets 4 times per year to review benefit plans and stay educated on the latest industry trends.

The HBTA Policy Council is committed to:
